I have good credit in the 600′s, I just have a high debt to income ratio. I have about 4 personal loans I want to consolidate. One is already with Prosper, so that is out. I just want to have one payment. My debt for these loans is about $20,000. I am not a homeowner either.

My company credit card is showing on my personal credit report. As most of you know, the credit card company asks for your social security# when you are issued a company card with your name on it. I am an employee only & have no personal responsibility to the debt. Even though the account is in excellent standing, it makes my credit-to-debt look sky high! How do I get it removed from my personal credit report?

We all owe personal debts. These debts have nothing to do with finances. They have to do with people. We all have people in our life that we need to forgive or seek forgiveness from. If we don’t do this, we will remain in debt to them. What have you done to clear up your outstanding personal debts? Have names of people you are in debt to came to mind right now after reading this question? What are you going to do to pay the debt you owe them?

We have two credit cards with a balance totaling around $11,000. In order to pay off this debt as quickly and financially sensibly as possible, I’m trying to decide whether it would be better to transfer the balances to one new card with a low introductory rate or use an unsecured personal loan that has a fixed rate of 6.99%. What do you think?
The loan in question can be paid off in four or five years. I’ve done the math on Yahoo’s personal finance page and found that I could save over $2,000 in interest by paying off a loan instead of these particular credit cards.
