I have 14k in credit card debt and another 15k in student loans to pay off; both with high interest rates. I am not a home owner (I rent). I am looking for the best way to pay off these two debts without killing me financially. Does anyone have any idea’s as to whether or not I should get a personal loan from my bank (bank of america) or another lender maybe? Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
thank you…

someone just said that i should report all of my tips but i am not doing anything worng infact this amount is what the irs tells me to pay. a few years ago i even called them and told them i make alot more and was there any way i could get in trouble or audited for not reporting it all and they said absolutely not.

Is there somehting called exempt rights, where you have a certain amount of personal items that you can keep when creditors take your belongings for payment? It has been 4 years of nonpayment. I wondered if there was a statute of limitations regarding this matter.
If you own your vehicle (no payments) can they take that to get the money for the debt you owe?

Yet 90%+ people get in debt and never get out and those same people have little to show for it in retirement.
Are you living a debt-free lifestyle? If not, what is keeping you from making that commitment?

I have 2 VISAs and a personal loan I want to consolidate into 1 payment. I don’t really want to lose one of the VISAs b/c it is in connection with my bank and tied to my checking. Also the personal loan is from a company that I am in very good standings with. Is there a way I can consolidate without losing the one VISA and reputation w/ the loan company?

My friend is going through a bloody divorce. She is worried the debt her husband is accruing on his own personal credit cards may effect her credit. Is she responsible for what he is doing or has done to his own credit during marriage. She has maintained a good credit history with her own credit cards and does not want to ruin it.

If each person was just given their portion of all the bailout money? How much would each person have been given? I know if we all have a million dollars, bread would then cost 50,000 a loaf. But, I’m curious couldn’t we have paid off most if not all the personal debt by now?
