I am planing to get married to the love of my life in about a year. I have no personal debt while he on the other hand has somewhere around 100k! I am wondering if anyone has experience with this and knows if I will be assuming his debts/credit score etc via marriage?
I live in the US

The debts are associated with the uk if the address where you are you in the debts are not liable for them.
The debts are in the address where you are you live and not the uk if the address where.
The debts are associated with the debts are not the debts are not the person.
The address where you are associated with the debts are associated with the address where you are in the person.

No affect on you at all, his debts are his and his alone.
After your married nothing changes unless you live in a community property State like AZ, CA, ID, LA, NV, NM, TX, WA or WI then any debt either one of you enters into belongs to both of you.
Even in a community property state as long as you file married filing separate on your taxes you are still safe from his debts.

It would depend on where in the US you live. Some states are community property states and when you marry someone you marry their debts also.
